This has lead her to undertake further studies, she is currently completing a Master’s of Physiotherapy.

Jess has worked in a range of settings from private practice, sporting clubs, hospitals to aged care facilities and schools. She has a passion for rural health and loves working in and being a part of a small community.

Gym-based rehabilitation

We often use the offsite pool or gym to aid in rehabilitation and with a sound pathology background it means a Physiotherapy specific rehabilitation program is individualised to your body and any injuries.

This is particularly useful for patients who are returning to work after a period of deconditioning, athletes, older men and women to help gain strength and balance through light resistance and ante and post-natal women to help reduce onset of postural pain and repetitive strain injuries.

Women’s Health

Is a specific area of Physiotherapy that specifically targets the treatment and management of a range of health conditions specific to women and their pelvic floor. For those with any type of incontinence, prolapse, sexual dysfunction or women who require support in the antenatal and postnatal stages, Women’s Health Physiotherapy is often the answer. With the use of a real-time ultrasound, the pelvic floor can be seen externally which can help with the assessment of pelvic floor dysfunction and assist physiotherapists to develop individualised treatment programs.

Within the realm of women’s health, Physiotherapy plays an important role in the ongoing management of osteoporosis through specific weight-bearing and balance programs.

Men’s Health

Is an area of Physiotherapy that caters toward the management of conditions that commonly occur in men. Post-operative pelvic floor rehabilitation is an extremely important part of aftercare that involves Physiotherapy. Incontinence and pelvic floor dysfunction can also occur in men, especially with ageing and the use of the real-time ultrasound can help men to gain back control.
